It’s been a stressful first half of the season for Raptors fans.
After years of consistently being in the top half of the East — we’re still pretending the pandemic season in Tampa never happened, right? — 2022-23 has been more of a grind. Inconsistent play has been a major theme so far, and the Star’s Doug Smith outlined a number of things that have contributed to that, including little production from the bench and more shooting slumps than usual.
Much of the panic among fans during a six-game losing streak in December that had some calling on the Raptors to “tank for Victor Wembanyama” has subsided after the team reeled off three straight wins.
