History has once again been remade for the Toronto Raptors this past week.
A team unfairly shackled by the mistakes of their predecessors, the Raptors chipped away at an unrealistic narrative in the first round of the playoffs, winning four games in a row to settle some nerves and defeat an overmatched Orlando Magic 4-1.
If you were cautious following the Game 1 anomaly, that’s fair. We’ve been through heartbreak one too many times in recent years. We’ve seen our fair share of collapses and misplaced optimism. So any moment that remotely resembles that familiar feeling of another existential crisis is warranted.
