‘We got work to do.’ The Raptors are in a bad place after Warriors dish out fifth straight loss

The Raptors will talk about just needing a win to get back on track and how there’s all kinds of time left in the regular season, and that injuries and illnesses have kept them from developing any kind of continuity.

All that is true — to a point.

But their fundamental failures of late, in every aspect of the game, point to severe flaws that time, good health and the odd break here or there will not fix.

The starting five — no matter who they are, it seems — put them in a hole most nights, and there hasn’t been enough mental toughness to either start better or fight all the way back.
