Don’t tell Bob Turner and his son Tavone anything about Monday’s Raptors game, a heartbreaking one-point loss to the Warriors that could have brought the first NBA championship to Toronto.
They won’t hear it. Because all their focus is now on Thursday night’s Game 6 in Oakland.
“We got this,” said Bob Turner, the Scarborough resident who nicknamed himself Mr. Raptorfoot Genius, part of the Raptor-mania sweeping the city and country.
Tavone is a rapper, and they figured identifying themselves with the Raptors could help boost their music career.
“Twenty-four years of nothing, man,” Turner said.
