Wade disses Canadian anthem – incentive for Raptors?

The Miami Heat’s legendary guard, Dwyane Wade, was “caught” on camera taking a few (more than a few, in fact) warm-up jump shots while “O Canada” was being sung prior to Game 3. NBC Sports, among others, noticed his self-indulgence and gave Wade a spanking for being disrespectful.

Many of our readers weren’t yet born during the last major display of American ham-handedness towards Canada in a sporting event. This famous incident occurred during the 1992 World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves. The U.S. colour guard managed to display the Maple Leaf upside-down before Game 2.
