Toronto Raptors President and General Manager Masai Ujiri released the following statement on the passing of Flip Saunders:
"We lost a great coach but an even better person. This one hits home. He is gone too early and we are thankful to have known him. He will be missed in the basketball family and beyond. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the Timberwolves organization. May his soul rest in peace."
