Will the NBA champion Toronto Raptors be invited to the White House?
President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter whether the league’s only Canadian-based team would get the traditional invitation during a media availability Thursday at the White House with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Most of the Raptors are from the U.S.
“They played phenomenal basketball, I watched a little bit of it, they were really terrific, congratulations, that was a great job by a great team, so we’ll think about that,” Trump said.
After winning the 1992 World Series, the Blue Jays visited the White House and Parliament Hill on the same day.
