At home. On full rest. The Toronto Raptors got shellacked. The New Orleans Pelicans, led by not Anthony Davis, but instead by E’Twaun Moore, came into Toronto and beat the Raptors 126-110.
One loss isn’t the end of the world. Toronto still sits comfortably in first place of the Eastern Conference. Yet, like any game, there are some notable takeaways from Monday night’s performance.
Backcourt defense?
Danny Green and Kyle Lowry are two high-quality backcourt defenders. Against a relatively average backcourt of E’Twaun Moore and Jrue Holiday, Toronto appeared to be in a good position.
