As a rookie with the Toronto Raptors, Delon Wright has come to accept that he’ll be bouncing back and forth between his NBA club and the team’s D-League affiliate, Raptors 905.
He can only hope that all of his back-and-forths will be as quick as this one.
Wright was in Mississauga’s Hershey Centre for no more than 30 minutes on Wednesday morning. Instead of the 905’s 11 a.m. game against the Erie BayHawks, the 23-year-old guard was on his way back out the door and headed to the Air Canada Centre to join the Raptors’ practice.
“I found out five minutes ago,” Wright said, his jacket still on as he spoke briefly with reporters before splitting.
