Some nights you just don’t have it. On Monday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Toronto Raptors definitely did not have it. New Orleans outplayed Toronto all night, and it resulted in a 126-110 loss for the home team.
Early on, despite a horrendous shooting start, the Raptors managed to hang around. Against the 27th ranked defense in the NBA (26th after the game), Toronto shot only 42-percent from the field and 2-12 from three-point range. Kyle Lowry was the main culprit, missing all four shots, including a couple of wide-open looks. Yet, after one frame, Toronto was done just three.
