The Toronto Raptors could have just laid down and died against the Washington Wizards, as Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet were out for the 11th-place club, but they ended up taking down Russell Westbrook’s squad thanks to a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by new addition Gary Trent Jr. in easily one of the high points of this challenging season.
While VanVleet, who is averaging 19.8 points per game this season after signing a huge four-year contract in the offseason, sat out this game after sustaining a hip flexor injury during their annihilation of the Golden State Warriors.
