Kudos to the Celtics…they were the better team down the stretch in a game featuring a couple of Eastern Conference powerhouses. A playoff series between them and the Toronto Raptors would be quite something. Hope to see it.
Apart from that loss, Toronto was perfect over its recent 14-day stretch, winning six of seven games, including Vince Carter‘s return back on Jan. 8. This team, having already been Punk’d by Dwane Casey, wasn’t about to let it happen again with Carter.
Nurse’s men prevailed 104-101, but it came right down to the wire with Carter even having a chance to tie the game with a last-second, three-quarter court heave, but his attempt would miss.
