Fred VanVleet had the ball in transition Monday night in Miami, dribbling up the left side of the court leading a Raptors break.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Gary Trent Jr. charging up the right sideline and as he crossed midcourt, VanVleet glanced over and wave Trent into the far corner of the court.
Cutting into the middle of the floor at about the top of the three-point arc, VanVleet rifled a pass to his wide-open teammate.
Trent ended up missing an in-rhythm, corner three-pointer but that was almost beside the point.
