The Raptors have settled on their 17-man roster.
The team waived Oshae Brissett, Alize Johnson and Henry Ellenson on Saturday, getting them down to the maximum allowable well in advance of Monday’s NBA deadline. How they proportion the end-of-the-roster spots is still to be officially determined.
It’s expected they will give Paul Watson Jr. the 15th spot on the main roster, and two-way deals to second-round draft pick Jalen Harris and forward Yuta Watanabe.
The decision to release Brissett was among the hardest.
The Toronto native never made it back far enough from off-season knee surgery to legitimately challenge for a roster spot in an abbreviated three-game exhibition season.
