The Raptors have had a good road trip — but it still hasn’t been good enough

SALT LAKE CITY — Sometimes, good isn’t enough.

The Raptors have played some good games on the difficult, long, tiring road trip that continues here Wednesday night, of that there is no dispute.

They were good in handily beating Sacramento, good in pulling away in the fourth quarter of a victory in Portland, they were good for long stretches of losses in San Francisco and Phoenix.

But here they are, 2-2 on the trip, no closer to making a late run to the playoffs than they were when they struck out on the journey a week ago and still teasing vice-chairman Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster with glimpses of what might be with a week to go before the NBA’s trade deadline.
