Back to the Toronto Raptors Newsfeed

The Raptors have constructed a roster unlike any other in franchise history. A place in the NBA playoffs is on the line

It’s going to be a season of great discovery for the Raptors, who aren’t sure themselves of what they are.

They are intriguing but unproven. They are long but not big. There are holdovers from a championship team and half a roster that has never played a home game in Toronto.

They might not reach Longfellow’s “Little Girl” extremes — “when she was good, she was very good indeed; but when she was bad she was horrid” — but to suggest anyone knows what the team will become is folly.

It’s a question and a curiosity and the unknown.
