Of the 10 players Toronto dressed for Saturday’s 109-99 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, only two — Pascal Siakam and Malachi Flynn — have fully guaranteed contracts for next season and that puts an added emphasis on how they perform and what they can bring each night.
It’s not so much winning and losing, either. It’s showing the coaching staff and senior management that they can find roles and fill them well enough while also providing a bit of promise for seasons to come.
