The Toronto Raptors’ draft position is a tricky one; on the border between a safe pick, or a long shot. Last year, in the exact same spot, GM Masai Ujiri went waaaay off the reservation by selecting the unknown and unready Bruno Caboclo. While Bruno may yet pan out, I’ve gone on record as saying I hope we don’t choose another project player. So why am I asking you to spend a few minutes analyzing the troubled Robert Upshaw? Isn’t he a project, albeit in a profoundly different, darker manner?
