NEW YORK—It was another one of those chaotic and close finishes — with wild swings from joy to despair — and finally, when this one was all over, the Raptors were smiling instead of explaining what went so terribly wrong.
They were not perfect in every facet of a hard-fought game; that would be asking too much of any team. But they were as good as they’ve been all season in what has to have been an uplifting outing at Madison Square Garden on Monday afternoon.
A team that hadn’t won an overtime game this season, and had been a miserable (and telling) 2-10 in games decided four points or fewer, got one on the right side of the ledger with a 123-121 OT victory over the New York Knicks.
