It remains a mystery as to why exactly the Raptors are failing in crunch time.
OK, maybe “mystery” is a strong word. We know how it’s happening — reticence to move the ball, a bunch of janked shots, ineffective rebounding — and we can point to the players who need to do more, or do something different, or maybe just get the hell out of the way. This has been an issue that’s dogged the Raptors for some time (not just last night against Washington, as you well know).
In thinking about it, maybe mystery is the wrong word entirely.
