Raptors vs. Spurs: A Real Game Out West

We’ve been harping on this all day but let us continue anyway: the Raptors’ 2-0 record is a bit Pyrrhic in nature. They played two bad teams, who played badly, and were also without their best players, which makes them even more bad. Still, the result — two Toronto wins — was good.

The Spurs, even without Kawhi Leonard, will never be described as bad. They’re missing Tony Parker too, and they’re still not bad. They’re relying on old man Pau Gasol. Are they bad now? Nope. There’s no way to slide them into that bad consideration, despite struggles with injury and father time.
