Raptors TV ratings should rebound in playoffs: Mudhar

Everything is up about the Toronto Raptors — except the number of people watching them at home. And while that is going to dramatically change as the playoffs get going, it’s interesting to look back at the season just ended.

It was the best season in franchise history, with the most wins in a string of home sellouts that resulted in a 1,500-person season-ticket waiting list. But less people have been watching on TV, prompting a question — is this what happens when you have a sustained level of success?

According to TSN, Raptor games are averaging 229,000 viewers (up to the March 15 game), which is down 16 per cent compared to last year.
