Raptors trade Goran Dragic to Spurs for Thaddeus Young: report

The Raptors are dealing expiring contract for expiring contract but getting back a player who may actually play for them.

Toronto is moving Goran Dragic, the 35-year-old point guard who hasn’t been with the team in months, to the San Antonio Spurs for 33-year-old Thaddeus Young, a lanky forward who should add some depth to the Raptors roster, according to multiple reports.

It wasn’t immediately clear if there were other bits involved in the trade, consummated about three hours before the NBA deadline. One report said Toronto will add a protected first-round pick to the deal and get back Drew Eubanks from San Antonio and a future second-round pick that belongs now to the Detroit Pistons.
