The Raptors’ huddle was calm with four minutes left in Monday night’s 104-95 win over the Orlando Magic, despite a Terrence Ross three-pointer having just given the visitors a one-point lead following a 13-0 run.
The home side had played solid defence for the bulk of the game, offsetting a roller-coaster of a night on offence that saw the Raptors put up 31 points in the first quarter before going 5-for-21 from the field in the second.
Coach Nick Nurse had expected something of a psychological battle between the teams after they had met in the first round of the playoff last spring.
