Raptors’ starters and Bench Mob need to be on the same page, says Nurse

At times last season, the Toronto Raptors were two solitudes.

There was a traditional starting five led by an all-star backcourt, anchored by a 7-foot centre who played a pace that best suited their skills.

Fred VanVleet (left) and the Bench Mob need to be on the same page as the rest of the Raptors, says new head coach Nick Nurse.

Then there was the energetic Bench Mob of a second unit, a bunch of kids and veteran C.J. Miles to infuse games with athleticism and get-it-and-go offence that altered tempo and, many nights, decided the outcome of games.
