SACRAMENTO, Calif.—The Raptors have certainly had their defensive issues for much of this season, and facing the most formidable offence in the NBA was an assignment fraught with peril.
But like so many things associated with this team this season, there was no making sense of what happened.
Playing one of their best defensive games of the season and getting huge production off the bench, the Raptors began a seven-game road trip with a thorough 113-95 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.
It was a glimpse of what the Raptors had hoped to be all season, and maybe a harbinger of what’s still possible in the final 33 games.
