After the Toronto Raptors were beaten badly twice by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA pundit community was feeling insufferably proud of itself. No doubt the universe was unfolding as it should, and the Cavaliers would be well-rested and ready for their championship opportunity. All they need do is brush aside the Raptors in two more barely-break-a-sweat matches in Toronto.
Not so fast. The Raptors didn’t win 56 regular- and 8 post-season games by rolling over. Now that post-season count is 10 after a pair of Air Canada Centre triumphs. Is it conceivable the Raptors could…gasp…come all the way back to win the series?
