Raptors’ Masai Ujiri finds another Giant in Barack Obama

There Masai Ujiri found himself, shooting around with former U.S. president Barack Obama on a newly-opened basketball court in Kogela, Kenya, that is part of a community centre built with the support of and at the urging of Obama’s sister, Dr. Auma Obama. The Toronto Raptors president had to take stock of where he’d found himself in the world.

Ujiri has done invaluable work in Africa through basketball and social skills in almost 20 years of work with his Giants Of Africa foundation and the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program, but he reached new heights this week.
