Raptors keep Pacers waiting for playoffs with 111-98 win

TORONTO -- Rookie Norman Powell scored a season-high 27 points and the Toronto Raptors beat Indiana 111-98 on Friday night, spoiling a chance for the Pacers to clinch a playoff spot.

The Pacers need one more win or a Chicago loss to qualify for the postseason. They will clinch if the Bulls lose to Cleveland on Saturday night, or by beating Brooklyn on Sunday.

Powell surpassed his previous best of 18 points, set against the Oklahoma City last month.

Fellow rookie Delon Wright added 19 points, and Cory Joseph had 18 points and nine assists to help the Raptors, who rested usual starters DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry and Luis Scola, set a franchise record for home wins with 31.
