Any fears Dwane Casey had might have been well founded and understandable, but were ultimately unnecessary.
Worried that the Toronto Raptors might start the NBA all-star break a night early, Casey watched his team come through with a thorough, professional effort in a 122-98 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
The win gives the Raptors a franchise-best 41-16 record heading into the week-long all-star break and leaves them in first place in the Eastern Conference.
It was also Toronto’s seventh straight win — a season high — and their ninth in the last 10 games.
