The only thing Vince Carter knows about the end of his career is that the moment is not here yet.

It might come in July. It might come in September. It might not come until some time in 2020, as the seemingly ageless NBA icon trundles on — 21 years into one of the longest careers in league history.

And as the one-time Toronto Raptors superstar did about a 20-minute turn with a gaggle of local media on Tuesday, the allure of chasing the longest career ever seemed to perk him up.
