Raptors GM says No. 9 pick in NBA draft ‘good, good asset’

While his team was taking its worst playoff loss of the season on Tuesday, Raptors GM Masai Ujiri was in New York at the NBA’s draft lottery, where he learned he has the ninth pick in June’s draft.

The pick came via Ujiri’s deal that sent Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks in 2013.

“I think everybody talks about (having that pick),” Ujiri said. “I think this is a good, good asset for our organization and something else to add to some of the little things we can do.”

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT: With his team now 9-0 in the playoffs, Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue reflected on the first time he tasted this kind of post-season success.
