The Raptors are playing the long game with OG Anunoby and his fractured right ring finger.
The fourth-year forward could play — and has played — through the injury but the team announced Thursday it will give him a couple of weeks off to help heal the non-displaced fracture.
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse had held out hope that Anunoby would be able to play through the small fracture, which had been bothering him for weeks before he saw a specialist Monday.
“There was still a chance he would play through it,” the coach said.
