Raptors fall to Nuggets in Calgary, 108-106

After 20 years without Raptors basketball, the fans in Calgary got their money’s worth on Monday night. A competitive tilt between the Raptors and Nuggets ended with Norman Powell missing a game-winning three attempt, as Denver pulled out the 108-106 win.

The Nuggets got quality performances from “Jurkic”, the frontcourt combination of Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic, who started together and combined for 27 points and 16 rebounds. The win, though, ultimately came thanks to their deep roster of guards. Wilson Chandler, Malik Beasley, and, yes, Jamal Murray all played well as the starters rested in the second half.
