Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan named Player of the Week

This past week, the Raptors reeled off four straight games at home against the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.

Our starting shooting guard, DeMar DeRozan, averaged 24.0 points (third in the conference), 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 91.9 percent from the free throw line.

Although there is only one notable opponent in the bunch, DeRozan posted three 25 point games in a row, highlighted by the 28 he scored against the league’s best defence, San Antonio Spurs.

You can really see DeRozan coming on in the last few weeks, mainly through his percentages from the floor.
