The Minnesota Timberwolves are having nowhere near the amount of success that the Toronto Raptors are having in 2020-21, and they’ve decided to shake things up by firing head coach Ryan Saunders, the son of the late, great Flip Saunders. Minnesota replaced him immediately, passing over associate head coach David Vanterpool and hiring Raptors assistant Chris Finch.
Finch is by no means unqualified, as he is regarded as one of the brightest offensive minds in the NBA and has spent the last decade as either an assistant or associate head coach in Houston, Denver, New Orleans, and Toronto.
