Terrible weather has forced the Raptors to cancel the fan zone event scheduled to take place in Maple Leaf Square before Wednesday’s season opener at the Air Canada Centre against the Indiana Pacers.
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment announced the news via a message on Twitter that read: “With our fans' safety in mind, the 2015 @Raptors Party in Ford Fan Zone at Maple Leaf Square has been cancelled due to inclement weather.”
The pregame party, featuring free giveaways and a live DJ, was scheduled to begin two hours before the game tips off at 7.
