The Raptors have kept their most significant free agent.
NBA sources confirmed an ESPN report that centre Chris Boucher has agreed to a three-year, $35.2-million (U.S.) contract to come back to the Raptors.
The move was highly expected, and Boucher, 29, gets a raise on a now-expired deal that paid him just over $7 million last season.
The Raptors also took care of their other free agent, as Yahoo Sports reported Thaddeus Young will come back on a two-year, $16-million (U.S.) contract. It was unclear if both deals are fully guaranteed.
Boucher, the six-foot-nine native of Montreal, blossomed in the latter stages of the 2020-21 season when he averaged 9.
