There is a hierarchy to the Toronto Raptors, as would be expected with a team that’s about half full of veterans who’ve been through a championship run before, and about half full of newcomers trying to earn whatever playing time they can.
It doesn’t manifest itself in the off-the-court relationships that are necessary to a team’s growth and chemistry, but there is certainly a pecking order once the real on-court work begins.
The newcomers are being loaded up with work, often a couple of times a day and always with an eye on getting them to the same level of understanding that already exists among the remnants of the 2019 championship team.
