Approximately one month ago, the Milwaukee Bucks decided to fire head coach Jason Kidd. Despite being one game above .500, management believed the team was under-achieving and a coaching change was needed.
So far, it appears their assessment was correct. Since Kidd’s firing, and the promotion of assistant coach Joe Prunty, the Milwaukee Bucks are 9-3 and playing some of the best basketball in the entire NBA.
Offensively, not much has changed for the Bucks. In fact, Milwaukee’s offensive rating has declined slightly since Prunty was hired. Despite a decline in their offensive production, Milwaukee has managed to improve significantly over the past month due to their revamped defense.
