Coming into the Toronto Raptors’ first round series against the Washington Wizards, the biggest storyline was said to be the point guard duel between Kyle Lowry and John Wall. Both are considered elite, so the series was supposed to measure who is truly better. Because of the attention focused on that matchup, many ignored the clash between Jonas Valanciunas and Marcin Gortat, which ended up being equally as important.
