BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Pascal Siakam had a performance for the ages here Friday night — 37 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists — as his pursuit of joining the truly elite group at the top of the NBA pecking got a substantial early-season boost.
It may have opened some eyes about his early-season play but it wasn’t enough as the Raptors dropped a 109-105 decision to the Brooklyn Nets that underscored some issues with the roster right now.
While all five Toronto starters scored in double figures, the bench was lacking, with Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, Christian Koloko and Thad Young going a combined 1-for-13 from the field.
