OG Anunoby out ‘a while’ with hip pointer as Raptors injury woes grow deeper

SALT LAKE CITY—The Raptors injury woes grow deeper with OG Anunoby now on the shelf.

The team’s leading scorer, averaging 20.1 points per game and the only player to have started the first 15 games of the season is out indefinitely with a hip pointer.

“According to (vice president of player health and performance) Alex McKechnie, it’ll be a while,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said here Thursday morning.

Anunoby was hurt during a short workout in Portland on Wednesday and joins Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) and Yuta Watanabe (calf) on the inactive list for a game Thursday night against the Utah Jazz.
