‘Nothing short of incredible:’ Raptors fans in awe of DeMar DeRozan’s historic season

DeMar DeRozan is heading into the NBA all-star break with a piece of history. The former Raptors guard broke a record held by Wilt Chamberlain, becoming the first player in league history with 35 points on 50 per cent shooting in seven straight games. He also has the Chicago Bulls’ longest streak of 30-point games since Michael Jordan in 1996.

When DeRozan was asked by reporters Wednesday if he could describe the record-breaking run he’s been on, he simply couldn’t. But Toronto fans who remember him as an underappreciated star were happy to speak for him.
