Raptors head coach Nick Nurse won’t be at Sunday’s home game against the Detroit Pistons because of personal reasons.
Assistant coach Adrian Griffin will take over the reins, according to ESPN. Griffin also filled in for Nurse in an August 2020 game vs. the Sixers.
Nurse also wasn’t at Saturday’s practice.
The Raptors are in 11th place and just out of a play-in berth in the Eastern Conference with a 26-31 record. Detroit has the fourth worst record in the league with a 15-42 mark.
The game is at 3 p.m. and will be broadcast on TSN4.
