Australian rookies Mitch Creek and Deng Adel have suffered blows to their NBA dreams.
The Brooklyn Nets announced on Friday they were cutting former Adelaide 36ers star Creek and the Toronto Raptors offered similar grim news for athletic swingman Adel.
The NBA regular season begins next Tuesday and teams are forced to cut their bloated pre-season rosters.
Creek, after battling with the 36ers for an opportunity to play in the NBA and suffering an abductor strain during his time in Brooklyn, made it onto the court for only two minutes in a game against the Raptors on Wednesday.
