The National Basketball Association announced Thursday that Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will participate in the Footlocker Three-Point Contest as part of State Farm All-Star Saturday Night. Lowry becomes the third player in team history compete in the event, joining Walt Williams (1997) and Jason Kapono (2008 & 2009).
Lowry leads all Eastern Conference players with 135 three-pointers made and is shooting a career-best .388 (135-for-348) from beyond the arc. He has recorded 12 games this season with four or more three- pointers, most recently February 2 at Phoenix (5-for-5), moving him ahead of Vince Carter for third-place among the team’s all-time leaders for three-pointers made (558).
