The Toronto Raptors have started the season with a serious bang. Their 5-0 record is matched only by the NBA champion Golden State Warriors. Before Thursday night’s games, the Raptors have more wins than the other four teams in the Atlantic Division combined.
There are many impressive aspects to this early romp – 3 road wins, a margin of victory that’s third in the league behind GSW and Cleveland, balanced scoring (nobody is playing out of their mind, which give hope that the fine play is sustainable), allowing over a hundred points just once.
However, for this writer, the most important statistic to date is the Raptors’ dominance of the fourth quarter.
