Has it really been three years already?
The Raptors won their first NBA title on this day in 2019, sparking an unforgettable street celebration into the wee hours of the morning and a massive championship parade in downtown Toronto a few days later.
Befitting the anniversary, a ceremony was held Monday morning in North York to name a street after Raptors franchise icon Kyle Lowry, the heart and soul of that championship-winning team.
Lowry was one of seven people who had a street named after them at Don Mills Crossing, a new development at the northeast corner of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East.
