OAKLAND, CALIF.—Most of an hour into that ski-goggles-required championship celebration late Thursday night, a reporter observed Kyle Lowry and asked a rhetorical question: Had the Raptors point guard somehow lost his shorts?
Given that Lowry had just spent quality time in the happiest post-game locker room in Toronto Raptors franchise history — a plastic-wrapped party central gushing with explosions of primal joy and California sparkling wine — it was an appropriate question. As the longest-serving Toronto Raptor navigated the bubbly-splattered festivities at Oracle Arena, from the locker room to the interview room to the get-your-portrait-taken-with-the-Larry-O’Brien-Trophy room, Lowry’s lower half was wrapped in a towel.
